The other day, Joey and I went food shopping. I’ve been wanting to try Tom’s Natural deodorant for a while (although I LOVE the smell of Dove!) I went to the deodorant section in the supermarket and saw that there were a few scents to choose from:
There is lemongrass, apricot, honeysuckle something, lavender and unscented. I smelled them all, and dang! They do NOT smell at all like their description:
lemongrass = Pine Sol
apricot = something SUPER sweet
honeysuckle = something that I can’t say I remember, but I must not have been impressed.
lavender = GIN AND TONIC – no joke! it was ridiculous!
unscented = surprisingly, unscented
I chose the unscented and decided to see if it actually keeps me dry. I don’t know if I necessarily buy into the whole, ‘All deodorants with aluminum give you cancer’ theory, but as I’m investing in products for my body I’ve really started to like natural products (or as natural as possible.) I tried some deodorant from Lush (it’s a powder) and while it smells really nice, it neither keeps me dry nor deodorizes me. Not cool. I can handle sweating: just not smelling.
A mere observation.
